Our People
Sean J. Pike • President and CEO
Sean has spent the past 19 years in the public sector. He has served as a Federal Healthcare Executive and has held positions such as COO, CIO, Director of Health Benefits & Patient Administration, Director of Emergency Preparedness, and Chief of Clinical Operations. He is board-certified from the American Academy of Medical Administrators, and has served as a Joint Commission (JCAHO) and AAAHC consultant. He has extensive experience in writing Federal contracts and is also a certified Federal Quality Assurance Program Manager. Sean obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as well as his MBA from The Citadel. He is currently a Doctoral candidate in Organizational Behavior/Strategic Management.
Damon V. Pike • Vice President, Secretary & General Counsel
Damon V. Pike is President of The Pike Law Firm, P.C., a boutique law firm headquartered in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The firm specializes in customs and international trade regulation, litigation, and consulting involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection (Department of Homeland Security), Bureau of Industry and Security (Department of Commerce), Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (Department of State), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (Department of the Treasury). He was also with Deloitte & Touche for 13 years, where he served as National Director of the firm's customs practice from 1999-2003. Damon is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Emory University, where he teaches "Customs Law & Administration." Prior to law school, he worked on Capitol Hill for U.S. Congressman (and later U.S. Senator) James T. Broyhill of North Carolina. Damon graduated with honors from Duke University, and received his J.D. degree from Wake Forest University.
Robert E. Pike • Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Robert is the Managing Principal of a private investment advisory firm based in Winston-Salem NC. He is a former Senior Vice President of Wachovia Asset Management, where he managed institutional portfolios for a variety of endowments, foundations, and corporations, including Wachovia's private label mutual funds. Since 1998, he has managed portfolios and conducted research for private clients. Emery earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA(r)) designation in 1991 and is a past President of the NC Society of Financial Analysts. He graduated cum laude with "Honors in History" from Wake Forest University and holds an M.B.A. from the Babcock Graduate School of Management of Wake Forest University.
Verner N. Pike • Business Development
"Vern" is a retired US Army Colonel with extensive experience in national strategic plans and policy related to NATO and bilateral issues while serving on both the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Army Staff. His military background included brigade and battalion command in Europe, Special Forces operations in Grenada, military police operations in Vietnam and Europe, and a stint as Assistant Professor of International Relations at the US Military Academy at West Point. Following Army retirement, he founded and directed a marketing and lobbying firm in Washington, DC, then oversaw the acquisition of a high tech, low observable manufacturing company, after which he conducted business development before retiring again in 2003. He is a graduate of the US Army Command & General Staff College and the Army War College. Vern holds a B.S. in History from Wake Forest College and an M.A. in International Relations from The American University.
William Lothes • Business Development
"Bill" has extensive experience in Information Technology including software development, communications, and project/technical management. This experience encompasses private industry, state government, and DOD. He has managed many different types of projects ranging from large mainframe conversions, implementation of complete manufacturing application packages, to the installation of UNIX systems networked over a statewide public network. He worked for Centech/CACI for 15 years where he managed projects supporting the Air Force Materiel Command and the State of Ohio. Prior to CACI, Bill spent 22 years with Bull HN/Honeywell where he managed pre and post sales technical support for a wide variety of products, including Mainframes, Minis, Networking, Operating Systems, Applications, and PCs. His career began as a programmer/analyst for Sears in Chicago where he spent 3 years. Bill graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
William C. McKinley III • Business Development
“Bill” McKinley is a results oriented leader with more than 30 years of both public and private sector success in motivating and directing organizations in meeting or exceeding their objectives. He has enjoyed positions such as Squadron Commander, Division Director, Combat Support Center Director, Program Manager, Task Force Leader, Senior Reserve Officer, and Senior Technical Instructor. He has extensive experience in designing, developing and instructing training programs for complex technical and intelligence analysis systems. As a Headquarters USAF senior staff officer he facilitated the role of air and space power for the future of National Security. He was a recognized leader in the USAF logistics community and a long time trusted contractor at several intelligence agencies. Bill has an innate ability to digest and relate integrated concepts in operational environments while securing effective working relationships. Bill is a graduate of the Air War College and obtained his Bachelor of Humanities and Fine Arts from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. He earned his Master of Arts in Military Studies/Air Warfare from American Military University.
